Composite Insulators / Polymer Insulators — OEM Manufacturer
Leading Polymer Insulator Manufacturer in China
Composite insulators are used to support and separate energized conductors while preventing electrical current from passing through the insulating body.
Our designs differ by model, but each unit is built from three principal parts: a load-bearing core rod, a silicone-rubber outer profile (sheds), and metal end fittings (base connector and oval eye).
The core is typically an epoxy-glass rod (or other glass-fiber reinforced polymer), providing the mechanical strength and the internal dielectric barrier; it complies with color-penetration and water-diffusion testing and exhibits excellent resistance to fatigue, cracking and creep.
The external weather-shed and the protective sheath are molded from high-grade silicone rubber formulated for high-voltage use — a material chosen for its thermal stability, ozone and ionizing-radiation resistance, and flame retardance. To maximize adhesion, the sheath that covers the core and the outer sheds are produced from the same silicone compound so their interfaces bond reliably.
Robust metal fittings at each end form the electrical interfaces and transfer mechanical loads to the tower hardware and conductors. Before packing every insulator undergoes rigorous inspection to ensure the metal-to-core joints are secure and fully reliable.
